How to get over the addiction to your screen
Although it may seem as if you are not addicted to your smartphone, over 37% of people are attached and some may not eve know it. To overcome this addiction to constant texting, addicting apps, and social media one must not let their smartphone get in the way of everyday human interaction; essential to our social health. One easy step to get over your smartphone overuse is to simply not have your phone in your line of vision. Studies show that even while having your smartphone near you, it can interrupt your conversations and can cause anxiety. Try placing your phone face down more than five feet away from you. Another simple way to help yourself become less attached to your mobile device is by not checking your phone first thing in the morning. This may be difficult at first, but consider starting your day and then turning to your phone. Lastly allow yourself an allotted time for social media and apps every day. For instance, you could set aside fifteen minutes every hour for various apps and then slowly decrease your smartphone use.
